Thy Kingdom Come.

This place we live in…Scary. Sometimes i feel so unsafe. Sometimes my heart is so anxious that God seems so small, and like he can’t do anything to help me.

Not too long ago, I experienced a peace like I never had before. This peace is so strong. Only a Savior could give it. The Savior that is full of Grace and Mercy, but it also Just and Sovereign. I was standing in my bathroom after the Newtown shooting. several hours had past, But I hadn’t been alone at all that day and didn’t really have time to feel anything. When I know that I need to focus on God and his love and protection the most, I turn on my music. The first song that came to mind was “I have a shelter” By Sovereign Grace. I was standing there looking in the mirror. I thought about my little nephew. I thought about my future children. I thought about some of my friends children. My heart flooded with emotion and I just prayed for God to come and make this world right. I have never wanted that so bad in my life. In fact, many times, I didn’t want it at all. I just wanted to live my life and enjoy it. But ever since then, all I can think of is Christ overcoming the world. Kingdom come, and His will be done.

I have this peace. In the midst of everything going on. I truly have a peace. There are still times when i lose that peace and suddenly my problems and insecurities become very big and my God seems very small. But he doesn’t let me think that for too long. :)

God is going to come and he will save us. In fact, he already HAS come and saved us. Why in the world am I so nervous. He holds me in the palm of his hand. I am his child. He loves me with everlasting love. I remember something my sister said about how fun it was to shop for her little boy Peter for Christmas. Then she said, something about how that if she loves to give peter gifts so much, It’s such a comfort to know how much God wants to shower us with blessings as well. Every good and perfect gift comes from God.

I wrote this because it is something that has day after day, taken impact on my life. I am sure I am not the only one who struggles with these things. So I wanted to try and encourage those who struggle with it too…He is on your side. He loves you, and He has already overcome the world.

Cara and Ben’s wedding was a BLAST! One of the sweetest ceremonies I have been too yet. The one thing I will never forgot was when Ben said “I prayed for you for a long time”. I loved that. She was finally here!

It was a very hot day. WOW was it hot. Ben and Cara trooped on through the heat for the sake of pictures. I Thank them for that!

I have been wanting, praying, hoping, waiting, for a friend like Leah. CRAZY. I have always felt that I was just too crazy for my other friends, like I had these crazy ideas, and it was just a little too much. But Leah, the tables are turned! I love that. I feel like we can get together and sky WILL BE the limit for what we do together. I can’t wait for more times together to do some crazy stuff. But I do need to say, she is not just crazy. She is sweet. VERY sweet. I can tell that she doesn’t like drama. PLUS! I love you Leah!! :)

Abigail and Josh were a special couple because, well, Abigail is my cousin! And we look alike in ways! :) But seriously, what a beautiful couple. Their story of how they met is quite awesome too. Abigail and Josh will be living in Germany for the next three years after they are married because of Josh’s position with his job. Pretty Awesome huh? :) I’m hoping to be able to take a trip to Germany and photograph them again. :) Enjoy all!
